Our Charitable Mission

As a young football star Jason has overcome discrimination based on his height and weight but he has endured the scrutiny and become extremely successful. Jason has continued to learn the importance of remembering where he came from, giving back and being a positive role model to every community in which he encounters. Jason’s goal is to use football, his passion, career and talent as an effective tool to reach out to the community, particularly youth.

The foundation’s Mission is to bring faith and courage to every corner in the community by:

• Motivating youth to stay positive and have self respect at an early age
• Encouraging youth to see the importance in education and to see that they have the opportunity to go to college
• Being a role model and inspire youth to work hard, be persistent and to set goals

We will do this by:

• Hosting events geared toward engaging and inspiring youth to have fun but to also learn such as the Annual NFL Youth Football Skills Camp
• Conducting community service activities that will engage the youth in positive activity to direct them down a progressive path.
• Continue to demonstrate the importance of service learning and giving back to the community.

Jason and the foundation team will utilize Jason’s career, talent and passion -- football -- as a tool to exhibit how anything is possible and that hard work pays off.

Whether our events are free or an attempt to raise funds, all of the proceeds will go directly back into the community in ways that hit close to home for Jason such as: Kidney efforts, Leukemia efforts, influencing youth or single parent households. As a new foundation we are still growing and just beginning to delve into the community to see how we can help as many people as possible.

Although the foundation has many causes that it is willing to support, one that is dearest to Jason’s heart is kidney disease efforts. in memory of his beloved cousin Segun “Shay” Ukome Moruka who passed away from kidney disease in 2007.

All proceeds from the Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament will go toward increasing the awareness and research of kidney disease in order to promote prevention and ultimately find a cure.
